Documentary from & about Zimbabwe: A Violent Response

A Violent Response is a documenatry film that looks at the Zimbabwean post-election Government/ZANU PF sponsored violence against opposition supporters. The film was shot in Zimbabwe and is based on award winning journalist Hopewell Chin’ono’s one year experience of having a front row seat and capturing his country’s descent into a violent village with no escape route. The violence claimed lives of over 400 Zimbabweans in a three month period of an orgy of mindless brutality on innocent citizens. A Violent Response is out in December.
