The "Hunter Gatherers HikingTrail" along South Africa's Garden Route

The pre-colonial hunter gatherer people were the nomadic tribes indigenous to the Western Cape coast. This tribe lived off the marine pantry provided by nature collecting shellfish and other marine creatures and ate bulbs and tubers for vitamins. Medicine came from wild herbs.
The unspoilt beaches and shoreline west of Mossel Bay, up to the Gourits River, offer relaxing hikes with small mammals, reptiles, marine- and bird-life in abundance.
