Virgin Atlantic to increase capacity on Kenya flights

Virgin Atlantic, founded by the Virgin Group and Singapore Airlines, is following the increasing demand for flights to and from Kenya by bringing a larger aircraft to the Kenya route beginning with the summer season 2011. The larger A340-600 version to be used offers 68 more seats (+10%) on each of the daily flights. The airline expects the capacity increase to be absorbed by the extra demand for travel to the East African country.
Virgin Atlantic is currently the 8th largest UK based airline in terms of passenger count. The airline operates between the United Kingdom and North America, the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East, Asia, and Australia from its bases at London Gatwick Airport and London Heathrow Airport.
Virgin's African destinations are Accra (Ghana), Nairobi (Kenya), Lagos (Nigeria), Johannesburg (South Africa).
