South Africa: final leg of the Gautrain system to commence operations on 07 June 2012

The final leg of the Gautrain system (between Rosebank and Park station in the Johannesburg CBD) will commence operations on Thursday, 07 June 2012.
A single pay-as-you-go train trip between Hatfield (Pretoria) and Park station will cost R52 while the analogous trip between Sandton and Park station will cost R22. New timetables inclusive of Park station can be dowloaded from Gautrain's website.
The Gautrain system provides its customers with a modern train service between OR Tambo International Airport (ORTIA) and the Sandton CBD ("Airport Service") and between Johannesburg Park Station, located between the city's CBD and Braamfontein, and Tshwane’s Hatfield Station ("Commuter Service") in Hatfield, Pretoria.
