Lonely Planet: Namibia is one of the Top 10 "Best Value Destinations" in 2013

Lonely Planet named Namibia one of the Top 10 "Best value destinations" in 2013 in its  annual "Best in Travel" travel book. According to the world's largest travel guide book publisher, Namibia's "big-ticket draws remain affordable for budget and midrange visitors" and the country's fun activities, such as "sandboarding around Swakopmund and hiking Fish River Canyon", are some of the "best-value outdoor pursuits in Southern Africa".

Other "Best value destinations" in 2013 include Rio de Janeiro (Brazil), Gothenburg (Sweden), Cambodia, Bolivia, Portland (USA), Spain, Slovenia, Nepal and Georgia.
Lonely Planet's "Best in Travel" is published every year. The handy book is a compilation of the best places to go and things to do all around the world in the year ahead. It covers the top 10 countries, regions and cities to visit, best travel experiences  as well as over 35 events mapped out month by month in the (2013) travel planner.
