update (19 Feb 2014): Effective from 15 April 2014 Fastjet operates a third flight per week (Tuesdays) between Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar Es Salaam and Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN) in Lusaka.
Tanzania-based low cost-airline Fastjet has announced the launch of its second international route from Julius Nyerere International Airport (DAR) in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania to Kenneth Kaunda International Airport (LUN) in Lusaka in Zambia. Flights will initially operate twice a week, and will be available to purchase with fares starting at US$75/€55/GBP46R760 (plus government charges and taxes). The first flight is scheduled to take place on 01 February 2014.
Fastjet currently operates flights to Dar Es Salaam (DAR), Kilimanjaro (JRO), Mbeya (MBI), Mwanza (MWZ) and Zanzibar (ZNZ) in Tanzania, as well as to Johannesburg (JNB) in South Africa.
